Andrea Petrosino, nato a Taranto nel dicembre 1978, vive tra Palermo e Taranto.
Si laurea in Scienze Politiche, e a 34 anni capisce che è attraverso la Fotografia che vuole raccontare l’umanità che incontra nel suo quotidiano.
Inizia a scattare da autodidatta e nel 2013 s’iscrive al Master di Fotogiornalismo, tenuto da Emiliano Mancuso, presso Officine Fotografiche Roma. Presso la stessa scuola prosegue il percorso formativo con la foto-editor de "L'Espresso" Tiziana Faraoni, con la fotografa Lina Pallotta e con la foto-editor Daria Scolamacchia.
Dall’ottobre 2016 insegna Fotografia Base e Composizione fotografica ad Officine Fotografiche Roma.
Collabora da free-lance con "L'Espresso" e "Internazionale".
I suoi primi tre lavori a lungo termine “Loro”, “Circum”(secondo posto al "Premio Tabò 2017" e finalista di "Happiness on the move 2019") e “Case Parcheggio” sono stati scattati tra Roma e Taranto, ed esposti in diversi festival fotografici in Italia e all'estero.
Da marzo 2017 sta portando avanti insieme ad Ornella Mazzola il racconto fotografico su un gruppo di ragazzi romani con problematiche psico-fisiche dal titolo “Il Grande Cocomero - Eroi”, seguito dalla foto-editor Maria Teresa Salvati.

Andrea Petrosino, born in Taranto in December 1978, lives in Palermo.
After graduating in Political Science, and after some years working as a journalist, at 34 he realizes that it’s through Photography he wants to research and explore the world around him and the everyday life.
He is a self-taught photographer, though in 2013-2014 he studies at the Master of Photojournalism, held by Emiliano Mancuso at Officine Fotografiche Roma. At the same school he continues his training with Tiziana Faraoni, photo-editor of "L'Espresso", with photographer and teacher Lina Pallotta and with photo-editor Daria Scolamacchia.
Some of his pictures were published by “L’Espresso” and “Internazionale”, whit whom he collaborates as a free-lance photographer.
From October 2016 he teaches Photography at Officine Fotografiche Roma.
His first three reportages are “Loro/They”, “Circum” (2nd price “Premio Tabò 2017” and amog the 10 finalists at “Happiness on the Move 2019” for Cortona on the Move festival) and“Case Parcheggio/Parking Houses”; all of them were exposed in many festival in Italy and in EU.
Since March 2017 he has been carrying out together with Ornella Mazzola the story about a group of boys and girls with psycho-physical problems entitled "The Great Watermelon - Heroes", followed by photo-editor Maria Teresa Salvati.
